A New Start, A New Chapter | MAXGE Unveils Smart Circuit Breaker Research Institute

On November 20, 2024, MAXGE Electric officially inaugurated its Smart Circuit Breaker Research Institute at its headquarters in Deqing, Zhejiang. The new institute represents a major leap in MAXGE’s R&D capabilities, focusing on breakthroughs in core low-voltage electrical technologies and exploring future applications of smart power distribution.

At the unveiling, Chairman Peng Sufu highlighted the institute as a strategic move to answer China’s call to shift from “Made in China” to “Created in China.” It will serve as a hub for tackling technological bottlenecks, fostering innovation, and nurturing new productive forces in the industry.

Jointly designed with the Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute, the facility integrates product development, intelligent testing, and validation, supported by IoT and cloud-based platforms for real-time monitoring and data analysis. Its advanced testing capabilities cover low-voltage AC/DC breaking tests up to 25KA, supported by specialized labs in materials, reliability, chemistry, and EMC—ensuring rigorous end-to-end quality and performance.

With this launch, MAXGE is entering a new phase of innovation in smart circuit breakers. Leveraging this platform, the company will accelerate progress in smart grids, intelligent power distribution, and high-end electrical equipment—contributing to a smarter, greener energy future.
