SGM6s-160H

The Thermal-Adjustable Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) is an advanced electrical protection device designed to safeguard circuits, distribute electrical energy, and prevent equipment damage caused by overloads, short circuits, and under-voltage faults. Unlike standard fixed-type MCCBs, its core innovation lies in the integrated thermal-adjustable tripping mechanism, which allows precise customization of the overload protection threshold (Ir) via a manual dial or selector.

Description

The SGM6 series fixed-type MCCBs cover frame sizes from 160A to 1600A with 3/4-pole configurations, featuring 10×In magnetic tripping and IEC60947-2 compliance. All models operate at 380-415V AC with 1000V insulation voltage, offering breaking capacities up to 100kA (Icu) for 160-630A frames and 85kA for 1600A units. The series supports standard accessories (auxiliary contacts, shunt trips) and delivers reliable protection for industrial power systems.

To ensure long-term reliable operation of Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs), follow strict maintenance protocols: Before work, disconnect power and verify de-energization while wearing insulated gear. Inspect housing for cracks/discoloration in dry conditions; tighten terminals to manufacturer specs with torque wrench. Operate handle 5+ times to verify smooth switching/trip reset. Test insulation (≥1MΩ dry/≥0.5MΩ damp) and contact resistance (≤50μΩ; replace if exceeded), calibrate protection settings. Clean arc chambers and test shunt trip. Maintain annually (normal) or every 6 months (humid/dusty areas), with immediate post-fault checks. Record all data vs historical benchmarks.
